The Dorset (England) County Pension Fund is seeking a liability-driven investment (LDI) manager to oversee £150 million, Pensions & Investments reports. The pension fund is looking for a manager that can invest in bonds and cash, and employ derivatives-based interest-rate and inflation hedges. JLT Investment Consulting’s senior consultant Cameron McMullen is assisting the fund in the search process. Financial services provider Bfinance may also assist.
Dorset will get funding for the LDI mandate in cash from Royal London Asset Management’s £315 million government and corporate bond portfolio. The £1.5 million pension fund will also look for a diversified growth manager to run £75 million. The selection process for both the searches may be completed in February.
