EL Rothschild will acquire a 70% stake in professional on-air, online, print, mobile, and enterprise weather solutions provider, Weather Central. The private investment firm has not disclosed the financial details of the transaction.

After the acquisition, the company will continue to operate under its CEO and founder, Terry Kelly, as well as the current management. Weather Central, which has over 400 broadcast television clients in 21 countries worldwide, is the largest provider of broadcast and interactive web weather solutions for media companies in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
