James Winfree, the executive director of Ohio School Employees’ Retirement System (SERS), will step down, IM Weekly reports. Winfree will retire from the position on April 30, 2010.
Winfree has helped boost support for the 2008 passage of Senate Bill 148, which increased retirement eligibility for new SERS contributors. Winfree has also assisted in establishing associations with advocacy groups, including the Health Care Preservation Task Force.
