Cantor Fitzgerald has appointed Scott Schefrin to head its merger arbitrage business for the firm’s global equities group. Before joining Cantor, Schefrin was a senior managing director and global head of merger arbitrage at Bear Stearns. Cantor has added more than 100 sales and trading professionals over the past year.
