The California Public Employees’ Retirement System has appointed Tim Legesse as investment officer for diversity. He will act as a point of contact for investment professionals seeking to do business with the pension fund. His responsibilities will include keeping financial professionals informed about the fund’s policies.
Legesse was previously founder of Starline Capital Advisors, a research and consulting services firm. Prior to that, he was investment officer at the Lumina Foundation for Education. He has also been an investment officer focused on alternative investments with the Indiana Public Employees’ Retirement Fund and a real estate acquisitions officer for the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio.
