Former Children’s Investment Fund Foundation partner Stuart Powers, who rolled out his own hedge fund firm Hengistbury Investment Partners, has made several appointments, and all are partners, Financial News reports. Powers aims to float a global long/short equity fund on January 1. Powers has appointed Jon Sharp as COO, and has also picked senior analysts David Fairweather, Daragh Horgan and Angelo Putignano. Sharp joins Hengistbury from Barclays Capital and Putignano from Lansdowne Partners. Fairweather and Horgan had worked with Powers at Cazenove Capital Management.
