Italian clothing retailer, Gruppo Coin, has ended exclusive talks with private equity firm, BC Partners, Reuters reports. The talks fell through due to price differences between the two companies. Coin, which has a market capitalization of €1 billion, is still in talks over a stake sale. BC Partners sought to buy 69.3% stake in Coin, whose controlling shareholder is Financiere Tintoretto, majority-owned by private equity firm, PAI Partners. Private equity fund, Carlyle, jointly with CVC Capital Partners, may rebid as the exclusive period, granted by PAI a month ago, has expired.
