Royal Dutch Shell and Ukrainian state-run gas and oil company Naftogaz will enter an agreement on shale gas exploration in Ukraine, Reuters reports. The deal will decrease Ukraine’s dependence on Russian gas.
Shell will allocate nearly $800 million to the venture. About $200 million of the funding will be directed in probing and $600 million in investments.
