Investment manager AMP Capital has formed a new Australian fundamental equities (EQ) group from its sustainable and capital equity teams, Financial Standard reports. Gian Pandit and Michael Price were appointed to serve as senior portfolio managers, whereas Philip Hudak will specialize in small/midcap stocks.
The trio, who will join AMP Capital from investment solution provider ING Investment Management, will be headed by Ella Brown, head of fundamental equities. Effective November, Pandit will target on building the firm’s capabilities in long/short and equities strategies and Price, who joins AMP early next year, will manage AMP Capital Sustainable Share Fund.
