New Silk Route’s Gupta Takes Leave

Former Goldman Sachs director, Rajat Gupta, has taken a leave of absence from New Silk Route Partners.

Former Goldman Sachs director, Rajat Gupta, has taken a leave of absence from New Silk Route Partners, Bloomberg reports. He started the New York-based private-equity firm in 2006 with partners including hedge-fund manager, Raj Rajaratnam. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has sued Gupta, accusing him of passing on private information regarding Goldman Sachs to Rajaratnam. Gupta also resigned from Procter & Gamble’s board last week.
