Ukraine Picks Ostrov To Value Ukrtelecom

Ukraine’s state property fund has hired a consulting firm to value the state phone company.

Ukraine’s state property fund has hired a consulting firm to value the state phone company, Bloomberg reports. Ostrov has a month to conduct the valuation of Ukrtelecom, which the government is looking to sell by next month. The government, which holds nearly 93% of Ukrtelecom, had initially sought to sell the phone company in a Dec. 28 auction with the minimum price set at $1.3 billion. The auction was delayed after it drew only one bidder, the Ukrainian unit of Austria-based Epic Financial Consulting.
