Visa Argentina, a payment processor owned by a group of banks including Banco Santander Rio, is up for sale, Reuters reports. The sale could be worth $500 million. Private equity firms such as General Atlantic, Advent International and Apollo Global Management may bid for the firm. Visa Argentina has more than 40 banks in its network, including Banco Santander Rio, Citibank and HSBC Bank Argentina. Morgan Stanley has been chosen to advise on the auction.
