New York–based Indus Capital Partners has hired Edward Nebens as head of trading for its $550 million long-short equity hedge fund, the Indus Europe Fund, Pensions & Investments reports. The employee-owned investment firm, which now has more than $500 million under management, ran $5 billion as on October 31.
In the newly created role, Nebens will be reporting to Gene Salamon, partner, portfolio manager and head of the Europe investment team. Previously, Nebens was executive director of international equities within the New York office of UBS’ investment banking operations. UBS is Switzerland’s biggest bank.
