Helios Investment Partners has raised a total of $900 million for a new African portfolio, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Helios Investors II will allocate $25-250 million of equity for various forms, such as business formations, growth equity investments, structured investments in listed entities and large, leveraged acquisitions. This is the second portfolio of Helios to invest in Africa. The new fund will focus on high-growth sectors that have been deregulated, such as technology, media and telecommunications, financial services, power and utilities.
