Eni is acquiring Vattenfall’s Belgian operations for about €157 million, Reuters reports. The Nuon Belgium acquisition will provide the buyer with a new sales outlet for Distrigas.
The transaction will also include Nuon Belgium’s subsidiary Nuon Wind Belgium and Nuon Power Generation Walloon. Eni estimates to complete the deal later in 2011 after European competition approval.
