Richard Laing, head of U.K. state emerging markets fund of funds investor, CDC, will step down from his role, AltAssets reports. Laing is expected to leave the firm in early 2012. He has headed the private equity firm for seven years. CDC will start the process to appoint a new CEO upon conclusion of a governmental probe into its activities.
