U.K. active fund management specialist, Hume Capital, is launching an unconstrained opportunities portfolio, Investment Week reports. The Global Opportunities fund will be launched on March 28, 2011 and be managed by Stephen Watson, who will identify 40-60 mid- to large-cap companies within the MSCI World index to form the core of the fund’s portfolio. The holdings will initially concentrate on Asian stocks with exposure to Far East countries and also to European and U.K. companies. The fund will also invest in Western companies specializing in communication technology and Blackberry producers, such as Ericsson.
