The Chilean government has secured about $980 million from the sale of around 30% of utility company Aguas Andinas, Reuters reports. The government will hold around a 5% Aguas Andinas stake. The sale of the state’s holding utilities, including Aguas Andinas, will help the rebuilding of the cities damaged by earthquake. a part of proceeds will also finance state copper miner Codelco.
