Danone is acquiring the Indian nutrition business of global pharmaceuticals and biotechnology company Wockhardt Group. The French food company will pay a total of around €250 million for the acquisition.
As part of the deal, the buyer will get Wockhardt’s nutrition unit and brands as well as its related industrial operations from Carol Info Service. Wockhardt is a Mumbai-based maker of drugs to treat diabetes.
