HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) has unveiled two new emerging market bond funds, Financial Times reports. The HSBC GIF Latin American Local Debt fund and the HSBC GIF Asian Currencies Bond fund have been launched under the firm’s Luxembourg-based Global Investment Funds division. The Latin American portfolio will invest in local-currency bonds, while the Asian fund will trade in dollar-denominated bonds. Octavio Ferreira, who runs HSBC GAM’s $59 million Brazil Bond fund, will manage the Latin American fund, while Cecilia Chan, HSBC GAM’s CIO of Asia Pacific fixed income and investment director Alfred Mui will manage the Asian currencies fund.
