Rajesh Shant, lead manager of the £29.2 million European Higher Income fund, has been dropped from his role at Newton Investment Management, Financial Times reports. Fred Moore has succeeded Shant on June 1, 2011.
Shant has now become alternate manager and will continue to run the £249.1million Continental European fund. Moore, who joined the firm’s European equities team in 2008, has been serving as alternate manager of the fund since June 2009.
