The European Energy Exchange (EEX), which develops, operates and connects secure, liquid and transparent markets, has selected the GlobalVision Portal solution developed by software provider Trayport. The solution will reduce the technical complexity for customers and will offer one central connection of the Trayport systems to EEX. Trayport is a subsidiary of New York–based provider of wholesale brokerage services GFI Group.
The exchange will handle the specification of the technical connection to the Global Vision user interface in the future, through which trading participants will no longer need the demanding procedure. Until now, EEX prices on the traders’ screens have been displayed through software that requires regular installations and adjustments by the trading participants.
