U.S. hedge funds firm, DE Shaw, has taken an around $160.3 million short position in Barclays, The Telegraph reports. The New York-based firm disclosed that it had built a 0.26% short position in the British lender. The move comes amid concern over the future health of the banking industry. The position is worth $155.5 million based on Barclays’ share price as on January 17. The hedge fund has $21 billion in assets under management.
