Swiss & Global Asset Management’s (SGAM) absolute return bond fund is trading government bonds to benefit from the European region’s volatility, Financial Times reports. The Swiss & Global Julius Baer Absolute Return Bond Fund Plus fund is long in Italian and Irish government bonds. The vehicle is also long in short-dated Greek government bonds, while being short in Portuguese sovereign bonds. The €1.1 billion fund is managed by Tim Haywood and Daniel Sheard.
