Bain Capital is planning to sell micro connectors maker MIC, The Wall Street Journal reports. The firm has appointed Goldman Sachs and Citigroup to conduct the sale of the unit of French electrical connectors maker FCI.
The seller may hold talks with private equity firms, such as Blackstone, Carlyle Group, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and TPG to acquire the business, adds Reuters. Bain Capital purchased FCI from French energy company Areva for €1.07 billion in 2005.
