The Investment Company Institute said long-term mutual funds saw inflows of $7.31 billion for the week ended September 7. Equity funds had inflows of nearly $712 million for the week, against the estimated inflows of $313 million in the preceding week. Domestic equity funds witnessed estimated outflows of $1.13 billion, while inflows into foreign equity funds were $1.84 billion. Investors put an estimated $1.74 billion into hybrid funds, compared to $586 million in the earlier week.
