The sovereign wealth fund of Qatar, Qatar Investment Authority, may purchase Ligue 1 football club, Paris Saint-Germain, Arabian Business reports, citing L’Equipe. The wealth fund may buy the club for about $71.9 million. After the completion of the deal, Qatar will assume ownership of the club from current majority shareholder, Colony Capital. The acquisition will have no impact on the management of the club.
