Roughly 60% of pension plan executives say revenue from securities lending will shrink over the next two years, according to a survey by Finadium. The financial markets research firm attributes the decline to a 40% drop-off in borrowing by hedge funds since its peak in 2008. The survey also found that securities lending revenue plunged 30% last year after rising 8% in 2008.
