Marubeni Corp. has purchased a 49.9% stake in DONG Energy’s Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm. The Japanese trading company will acquire the interest for a cash consideration of about £200 million. DONG Energy will offer operation and maintenance services to the wind farm. The companies have also signed a long-term purchase deal for the power production and green certificates arising from Marubeni’s share of Gunfleet Sands’ wind farm.
