UTI Mutual Fund has rolled out a new close ended income portfolio, India infoline reports. The UTI - Fixed Term Income Fund - Series IX – IV aims is to generate returns by investing in a portfolio of fixed income securities maturing on or before the date of maturity of the scheme. It will expire on May 21, 2012.
The scheme, which offers growth and dividend options, will be managed by Manish Joshi and Amandeep Chopra. The benchmark index for the new scheme is the CRISIL Short Term Bond Fund Index.
