Canada To Sell $3.6B In Bonds

The government of Canada is planning to sell new bonds worth $3.6 billion.

The government of Canada is planning to sell new bonds worth $3.6 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. The bonds to be auctioned on April 6, 2011, will be due on Aug. 1, 2013.

Bank of Canada is expected to buy about $545.6 million of the new bonds. The proceeds from the issue will be used for general government purposes.
