Spanish bank, Banco Santander, has offered to acquire Poland’s Bank Zachodni for about €4.29 billion, Financial Times reports. Santander is seeking to acquire the bank’s remaining 30% from other minority investors. The bid will expire on March 25, 2011. In 2010, Santander had offered €3 billion to buy Zachodni’s 70% stake from Allied Irish Bank, beating other bidders, including BNP Paribas and Polish bank, PKO.
