U.S. real estate investment trust, CreXus Investment, will acquire a $586 million portfolio of real estate loans from Barclays, Bloomberg reports. The London-based bank has not provided CreXus with funding to buy the loan portfolio The portfolio consists of 30 real estate assets including commercial mortgage loans, subordinate loans and mezzanine loans, adds Property Week News. The New York-based company, which is a subsidiary of Annaly Capital Management, is selling 55 million shares to fund the deal.
