Tradeweb Acquires Rafferty Capital Markets

Electronic trading and trade processing firm Tradeweb Markets has taken over fully the brokerage assets of New York–based broker-dealer Rafferty Capital Markets.

Electronic trading and trade processing firm Tradeweb Markets has taken over fully the brokerage assets of New York–based broker-dealer Rafferty Capital Markets. It is now looking to expand its inter-dealer division Dealerweb with an electronic inter-dealer marketplace for U.S. Treasuries later in 2011. Dealerweb has also built a fully integrated hybrid voice/electronic trading solution for off-the-run U.S. Treasuries using Tradeweb technology and expertise from the team from Rafferty. The new platform may be rolled out later this year.
