Terra Firma Seeks To Raise €1B

Terra Firma Capital Partners is looking to raise up to €1 billion from a sovereign wealth fund.

Terra Firma Capital Partners is looking to raise up to €1 billion from a sovereign wealth fund, Financial Times reports. Its investment period is running out next year, but the fundraising will enable it to continue doing deals. The private equity firm has been approached by several large investors from China and the Middle East to create a separate pool worth between €500 million and €1 billion.

Founder and chairman Guy Hands is seeking to bridge the gap between the current €5.4 billion fund and the completion of its next fundraising, slated for start early spring. The firm has up to €700 million available for new investment in its third fund and Hands is looking to invest it before the investment period ends in May.
