Cisco Systems is planning to buy closely held Inlet Technologies for $95 million, The Wall Street Journal reports. The transaction will strengthen Cisco’s capabilities to deliver on-line video to any device.
Under the terms of the accord, Cisco will pay about $95 million in cash and retention-based incentives in exchange for all shares of Inlet. The retained employees will be integrated into Cisco’s service provider video technology group.
