Sears Holdings and Urban Outfitters are considering rival offers for clothing retailer, J Crew Group, Bloomberg reports. A bid will potentially challenge TPG Capital and Leonard Green & Partners’ $3 billion buyout bid for J Crew.
About two other private equity firms are also receiving confidential data on the New York-based retailer. J Crew’s go-shop period, in which a public company solicits competing offers, expires January 15 and any bid has to be made before then.
