Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System will award two $150 million mandates, Pensions & Investments reports. The system is seeking one smidcap value manager and one smidcap growth manager to run a combined $300 million. The $22.27 billion system may fund the mandates from cash or a $1.2 billion Wilshire 4500 index fund managed by Mellon Capital Management, or a combination of both. Consultant Wilshire Associates is assisting with the search.
