Internet telephone service, Skype, has purchased mobile video company, Qik, The Wall Street Journal reports. The details of the transaction have not been disclosed. The deal is expected to close by the end of January 2011.
The acquisition is estimated to be worth about $100 million. Qik provides services that allow capture and sharing of video across mobile devices, the Web and desktop platforms.
