Shareholders have approved BJ’s Wholesale Club’s acquisition by private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners and funds advised by CVC Capital Partners, Reuters reports. The transaction will be valued at $2.8 billion.
Owners of about 72 percent of the company’s stock voted in favor, while holders of below a percent of the company’s common stock voted against the deal. The transaction is likely to close on September 30.
