Moscow-based aluminum producer, UC RUSAL, has repaid debt worth $835 million to its international lenders. The company has paid back the debt, under the international override agreement, to its global and Russian lenders, including Onexim Holdings.
Voluntary prepayments of $305 million were made out of free operating cash flow and $30 million using the funds received from a ruble bond issue. RUSAL made the debt repayment on four separate dates. The total amount repaid to the lenders is now $3.4 billion.
