Electric & General Investment Trust is planning to convert into an independent open-ended company, Citywire reports. The new fund will retain the Electric & General billing in its title and have all aspects of a typical corporate structure as if it were a closed-ended company.Investment management company, Taube Hodson Stonex, will continue managing the vehicle. The trust will also offer its shareholders the option to either move their investment into the new Oeic or convert their investment into cash, adds Fund Strategy.
