Massachusetts-based venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners is seeking to invest up to $100 million in private equity deals in the infrastructure sector, VC Circle reports. The firm, which has invested between $5 million and $25 million in several companies until now, is also looking to invest in consumption related sectors, such as financial services and retail, besides Internet and early-stage technology.
In March 2011, the firm raised a new global fund worth $1.6 billion. Some of the firm’s investments include $22.597 million in IL&FS Transportation Network and $25.98 million Ind-Barath Power Infra.
