Former chairman of Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ (MUFJ), Ryosuke Tamakoshi is likely to be appointed by Morgan Stanley to its board, Bloomberg reports. He will join Masaaki Tanaka on the board bringing the total of MUFJ officials to sit on the New York-based investment bank’s board to two, adds Mainichi Daily News. Tamakoshi was president of former UFJ Holdings when it decided to merge with the then Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group. Separately, MUFJ last month converted its preferred Morgan Stanley stock holdings into common shares.
