Swiss regulator, FINMA, has granted branch licenses to French institutional futures and options brokerage firm, Newedge, Fundamentals reports. The licenses will promote Newedge representative offices in Zurich and Geneva into branches. The Paris-based firm will expand its execution service to Swiss institutional clients across listed financial derivatives, equities and ETFs and clearing and prime brokerage services. Newedge, which is a joint venture between Société Générale and Crédit Agricole, is also seeking to hire additional staff.
