Private equity firm, PAI Partners, has got a total of nine bids for its 50% stake in French yoghurt maker, Yoplait, Reuters reports, citing Journal du Dimanche. U.S. food-maker General Mills and Switzerland’s Nestle are among the bidders.
Other bidders include Mexico’s Grupo Lala, Chinese conglomerate, Bright Food Group, French cheese maker, Bel and French dairy group, Lactalis. Private equity firms, Axa Private Equity, Bain Capital and Lion Capital have also tendered offers. Yoplait is half owned by PAI Partners and farming cooperative, Sodiaal.
