Russell Investments has hired Laurie Marchel as director of wirehouse channel distribution for its U.S. advisor-sold operations. She will be responsible for building relationships with major wirehouses, with which Russell is not yet strategically aligned.

In her new role, Marchel will be reporting to managing director of U.S. sales and partnerships, Michael Winnick. Marchel joined the firm from Principal Financial Group, where she was managing director of national accounts.
