Janney Capital Markets has expanded its fixed income team with the appointment of Brendan Shanahan as vice president of municipal trading and Lauren Carter as vice president for underwriting. The duo will work under municipal sales and trading head Dale Foard. Shanahan, who most recently served at Keybanc, will be based in the firm’s New York office. Carter, who previously worked with TD Securities, will report from Philadelphia.
