Scientists Start Vaccine Research Foundation

A new Foundation to advance and accelerate vaccine research and development against infectious diseases has been launched.

A new Foundation to advance and accelerate vaccine research and development against infectious diseases has been launched. Fourteen scientists and advocacy experts have started the Foundation for Vaccine Research, to be headquartered in Washington, DC. The founders group includes Galit Alter, Patrice Debre, Jose Gatell, Peter Hale and Sylvie Le Gall. The foundation will seek to spread awareness for the need of increased long-term flexible funding for vaccine research against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other infectious diseases.
