University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO) is increasing target allocations for real estate, emerging markets equity and natural resources for the $20.1 billion in endowment assets that it manages, Pensions & Investments reports. The real estate target will be increased to 5.5%, and emerging markets equities and natural resources targets will go up to 19.5% and 11.5%, respectively. Developed market equity target will be decreased to 48.5%. Target allocations for investment-grade fixed income at 9.5% and credit-related fixed income at 5.5% will remain unchanged. The amendments will come into effect from September 1.
